Gemmell cruises to a 6th Place Finish
​Tonight we raced our first race at Sunset Speedway in the Steve Slaughter classic. In practice we made a bunch of changes and got 3rd quickest overall. In qualifying we managed to set the 9th quickest time out of 20 cars. In the feature we slowly worked our way up through the field, missed some wrecks and brought the car home in 6th. Gemmell claims Grisdale Triple Crown Championship
Last night we traveled to Flamboro Speedway for day #2 of Frostoberfest. The task at hand last night was to have the best average finish in three 50 lap races to become the 2024 Grisdale Champion.

The car was fast in practice as we laid down the overall fast time out of both sessions. In qualifying we managed to grab 3rd out of 21 cars.

This set us up for a 3rd starting spot in our first 50 lap race. As we took the green Gemmell would settle in 3rd and the top four cars would pull away. Disaster on lap 21 would see the 84 take a hard lick into the backstretch wall. Gemmell would avoid and inherit the lead as the two involved cars were done for the night. Gemmell would hold on the rest of the way to win the first 50 after keeping the 41 of Treyten Lapcevich at bay.

The second 50 lap race we would start 10th after the invert. Gemmell would make some moves early and found himself in 3rd by lap 14. On a restart after another hard crash Gemmell would take the lead on the high side and cruise to his 2nd win of the night.

This set us up for the final 50 lap race where Gemmell would start 7th after another invert. Gemmell would manage to get to 3rd by lap 16 and would stay in this position to claim the overall 2024 Grisdale Championship with two 1st place finishes and a 3rd. This #3 APC Auto Parts Centres McColl Parts Dept car was fast yesterday and it showed. This makes Gemmell a 3x Grisdale Triple Crown Champion.
